Anyone who owns a bully breed needs to know what bsl is. Bsl is Breed Specific Legislation. This is a regulation that is directed toward one or more breeds of dogs.
Many cities around the United States have banned certain breeds. Traditionally breeds know as "dangerous" or those who have demostrated aggressive or violent behavior. Some of the breeds on the banned list are rottweilers, pit bulls or any bully type dog, chow chows, german shepherds, dobermans, and many more. The cities that are taking part in bsl are growing along with the list of banned breeds.
As a bully owner it is VERY important to beware of your city's regulations. If bsl is a possible threat to your town I highly encourge you to do every thing and any thing you can to fight the regluation.
Bsl was started because of ignorant dog owners. The people who do not properly treat, train, and socialize their dogs. These people have ruined reputations of many dog breeds.
As a responsible dog owner it is are job to spread the word that pit bulls, rottweilers, dobermans, german shepherds, chow chows, ect. are not bad dogs! They should not be held at fault for what they do, when they are doing what they are taught!
The only ones effected by bsl are those who truly love and care about their dogs and the dogs themselves.
